Portfolio: Chisenhall Sports Complex

Burleson, Texas is one of the fastest growing suburban communities in North Texas. City officials found it necessary to add capacity to its network of youth league sports fields with the $12M Chisenhall Sports Complex- an upgrade to an existing set of baseball fields. Program elements include 11 baseball fields, 7 softball fields, a football field, two playgrounds, various support buildings and structures, pedestrian courtyards, parking and loading zones and a future water park. The design team met the challenge of designing a large, multi-use complex, in an environmentally sensitive area, needing a comprehensive aesthetic theme to tie it all together. After designing and presenting various aesthetic directions for selection by the client, the design team moved into detailed design and construction documents.
